Scientific-methodological seminar «GIS and protected areas»
We invite you to take part in the scientific-methodological annual seminar “GIS and protected areas”.
The purpose of the seminar is to exchange experience in the use of GIS technologies in different areas of functioning of protected areas, study modern opportunities and approaches in the study and conservation of natural complexes and biodiversity, improve the professional level of relevant specialists.
Through participation in the seminar, you will gain the skills to work with GIS, mobile data collectors, and drones to solve the most actual biological and environmental problems. Learn about some new tools and technologies for research and conservation.
Form of participation: full-time.
Possible options for participation: oral report, master class leader, listener (you should have a brief report on the experience of using geoinformation technologies and remote sensing data).
The program will be generated on the results of registrations!
The program will include thematic reports, master classes, discussions and round tables.
To participate in master classes, you should have laptops with you.

Publication of the seminar materials. It is planned to publish the seminar abstracts in the form of an electronic collection of articles. Language of publication: Ukrainian, English. The text volume should not exceed 1000 words.
Requirements for abstracts. It is recommended to use the following text editors: MS Word/Libra/GoogleDocs. Sheet size-A4, margins 2 cm, interval of 1.15 points. Illustrations should be presented in raster format .png with a resolution of at least 300dpi. Illustration files should be sent separately from the text. References to literature and information sources (if available) should be referred according to ДСТУ (DSTU) 8302: 2015.
Prepared abstracts in the format .docx should be sent by email info@scgis-ukraine.org. In the name of the file, specify the name of the first author, for example, Тези_ІвановОС.docx.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Jun 1, 2021.
