• Monitoring of damage to the landscapes of Kharkiv region continued in cooperation with Rohansk and Krasnokutsk communities and Kharkiv University, and national parks of Kharkiv region
  • Two projects were successfully implemented with the support of the IRF on mapping green-blue infrastructure and developing landscape plans of rural communities

  • Open environmental data: updating data on the state of the PA using remote sensing within the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, on the boundaries of the PAs  based on OpenStreetMap, on eroded lands and craters based on the GeoProstir portal (KNU), on fires and burns, on clear-cutting of forests, on the state of biodiversity (2000+ updates)
  • Cooperation with the environmental inspectorate continued: two live trainings were held, proposals for technical support were developed
  • Approximation of legislation: updating requirements for the urban planning cadastre classifier, strategy biodiversity, simplified licensing of renewable energy sources, some of the comments were taken into account
  • Student internships: bachelors and masters V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (faculties of ecology, biology, geography), O. M. Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy Beketov (Department of Urban Ecology), 7 students successfully completed basic practice in GIT and in the management of information environmental projects, within the framework of GIS/REM programs for environmental monitoring
